A Sussex Borough man has pleaded guilty to committing a series of burglaries over several days in May, taking items from houses in Sussex and Wantage as well as the Sussex Department of Public Works shed.
Darian Perkins, 21, pleaded guilty on Sept. 7 to four counts of third-degree burglary, two counts of third-degree theft and one count of fourth-degree theft in front of state Superior Court Judge William J. McGovern.
Perkins, represented by public defender Thomas Militano, admitted to stealing items including lawn mowers, leaf blowers, snow blowers, saws and various other yard tools.
Perkins was arrested on June 26.
At his Oct. 27 sentencing, Perkins faces up to 30 years and 18 months in state prison.
The state was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Brent Rafuse.
