Driving while your license is suspended can be simply resolved in the municipal court by paying a parking ticket issued several years ago and restoring your license through DMV with a small fine in the municipal court.
Or, it can involve more serious consequences dependent upon what the license was suspended for or whether you are a persistent offender.
If the license was suspended for a prior DWI/DUI or it is your third or subsequent time driving with a suspended license you will face jail time.
There are several options to ten days in jail including SLAP (Sheriffs Labor Assistance Program) or an ankle bracelet.
However, each county has its own set of rules based upon whether SLAP exists in the county and whether an ankle brace is an alternative to jail.
