Drug Paraphernalia Arrest

On Aug. 13, at approximately 10:15 p.m., the Andover Township Police Department arrested Jack J. Elston, 39, of Newton following a suspicious vehicle check in a field behind the Econo-Lodge on Route 206. Elston during the investigation was found to be in possession of a hypodermic syringe which was used for injecting heroin.

Elston was charged with disorderly persons offenses for possession of the hypodermic syringe and for possession of paraphernalia, specifically “chore boy,” which is a part of a scouring pad used in smoking crack cocaine. He is scheduled for a first appearance on August 24, 2017.
