Hackettstown Warren County NJ Man Faces Drug Charges

Riding a bicycle by a police officer led to the arrest of a Hackettstown man on drug charges, police said.

Brian Beck, 31, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and was arrested on two outstanding warrants, a $1,225 Hackettstown Municipal Court criminal warrant and a $500 Mansfield Township Municipal Court criminal warrant.

At approximately 9:01 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 1, a Hackettstown Police officer was on routine patrol when the officer observed Beck riding a bicycle on Mountain Ave.

The officer was aware Beck had outstanding warrants and stopped him.

Beck was found to be in possession of a bottle cap containing suspected heroin residue.

He was processed and released from Hackettstown Police pending a court appearance on his drug charges and then turned over to Mansfield Police on their warrant.
